An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Locality Team within a well-established local authority in Rotherham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated social work professional to join a supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while working on an ongoing agency contract.
About the RoleAs a Qualified Social Worker within the Locality Team, you will manage a varied caseload, complete high-quality assessments, and work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
You will play a key role in safeguarding children, supporting families, and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation and best practice standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of children and families, completing assessments and interventions.Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and care planning activities.Develop effective working relationships with children, parents, carers, and partner agencies.Apply safeguarding knowledge to identify and manage risks effectively.Prepare reports and maintain accurate case records.Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services.Ensure all practice is compliant with relevant legislation and local authority procedures.RequirementsSocial Work England registration.Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.Experience working within a Locality or similar frontline social work team.Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.BenefitsCompetitive rate of £35 per hour (Umbrella).Supportive team environment.Opportunity to influence and develop best practice.Ongoing agency contract with potential for extension.Interested?
