An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Locality Team within a well-established local authority in Rotherham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated social work professional to join a supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while working on an ongoing agency contract.
About the Role
As a Qualified Social Worker within the Locality Team, you will manage a varied caseload, complete high-quality assessments, and work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
You will play a key role in safeguarding children, supporting families, and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families, completing assessments and interventions.
- Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and care planning activities.
- Develop effective working relationships with children, parents, carers, and partner agencies.
- Apply safeguarding knowledge to identify and manage risks effectively.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate case records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services.
- Ensure all practice is compliant with relevant legislation and local authority procedures.
Requirements
- Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
- Experience working within a Locality or similar frontline social work team.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
