We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team in Swindon, specializing in Adults Safeguarding. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in protecting vulnerable adults and promoting their well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments to determine the needs and risks of adults at risk of harm or abuse. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Providing support and intervention to empower individuals to make informed decisions and safeguard themselves. Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required. Contributing to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practices and policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration. Demonstrable experience in working within Adults Safeguarding, preferably in a local authority setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding vulnerable adults. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks efficiently.Additional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
