Swindon - Social Worker – Adults Safeguarding
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team in Swindon, specializing in Adults Safeguarding. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in protecting vulnerable adults and promoting their well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments to determine the needs and risks of adults at risk of harm or abuse.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Providing support and intervention to empower individuals to make informed decisions and safeguard themselves.
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practices and policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration.
- Demonstrable experience in working within Adults Safeguarding, preferably in a local authority setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
