Location: Fairfield Children's Centre, Fairfield Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, M43 6AF
Rate: £40 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Locum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Out of Hours Team in Tameside.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated emergency duty service, providing high-quality social work support and safeguarding interventions for children and families outside of normal office hours.

Key Responsibilities:Providing advice, guidance, and support in response to urgent safeguarding concerns.Managing emergency referrals and undertaking risk assessments.Making informed decisions to ensure the safety and welfare of children and young people.Working collaboratively with partner agencies, including police, health services, and emergency services.Supporting less experienced team members and contributing to decision-making processes.Maintaining accurate case records and completing required documentation.Requirements:Social Work England registration.Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services.Previous experience in an Emergency Duty Team, Out of Hours Team, or frontline safeguarding service.Strong assessment, decision-making, and risk management skills.Enhanced DBS check.What's on Offer:£40 per hour Umbrella.Opportunity to work within a specialist Out of Hours service.Supportive management team.Valuable experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
