We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Barnet as a Senior Social Worker/Advanced Practitioner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care, providing support to both foster carers and children to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Assessing and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in their care. Undertaking complex assessments and developing care plans for children in foster placements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children. Providing direct support and intervention to children and young people in foster care, addressing their emotional and developmental needs. Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and HCPC registration. Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a fostering or children's services setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the highest standards of social work practice.
