We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children With Disabilities Team in Tower Hamlets. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families facing challenges related to disabilities, ensuring their well-being and advocating for their rights.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families to develop tailored care plans. Providing direct support and interventions to children and families, promoting their independence and quality of life. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and educators, to coordinate holistic care services. Conducting risk assessments and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of vulnerable children. Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration. Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families in a social work setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and make sound decisions in challenging situations.Additional requirements or benefits:
