We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children With Disabilities Team in Tower Hamlets. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families facing challenges related to disabilities, ensuring their well-being and advocating for their rights.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families to develop tailored care plans.
- Providing direct support and interventions to children and families, promoting their independence and quality of life.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and educators, to coordinate holistic care services.
- Conducting risk assessments and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of vulnerable children.
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families in a social work setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
