Occupational Therapist - Children with Disabilities (Hybrid)

Location: Ambleside Close, Woodley, Reading, Berkshire, RG5 4JJ
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £40.62 per hour
Contract: Locum

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Children with Disabilities Team on a hybrid basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with physical disabilities and complex needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out community-based occupational therapy assessments for children and young people with physical disabilities and complex needs.Assess functional abilities and provide recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptations.Support children, young people, and their families to maximise independence and improve quality of life.Deliver advice and training on the safe use of equipment and manual handling practices.Work collaboratively with carers, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies.Contribute to safeguarding children and young people.Maintain accurate case records, reports, and performance data.Support and mentor Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and new team members.RequirementsQualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and community-based practice.Experience recommending equipment and major/minor adaptations.Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.Benefits of working with Eden Brown SynergyDBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown SynergyReferral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to usBonus for finding your own jobTwice weekly payrollDedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment, and beyond
