Job description

My client based in Cambridgeshire is looking to hire a Housing Officer for their Neighbourhoods Scheme. This role is for around 3 months and may extend based on the clients needs. Immediately Availability will be required.

As the Housing Officer you will be carrying out a range of duties, some of which are the following:

To ensure compliance with policy, practice and procedures.

To be responsible for void management and tenancy start-up for a patch of properties.

To ensure all vacant homes are re-let efficiently and in line with the provider's policy, Choice Based Lettings and performance targets.

To carry out home visits to housing register applicants when requested.

To carry out joint inspections of properties prior to termination and transfer.

To ensure the smooth transition of tenants into their new homes and to provide support and assistance up to the 6th week of tenancy.
