Job description

My Client is currently looking to appoint a Tenancy Support Officer to join their Team in North west London. This is a temporary position for approx 3 months with the possibility for extension at the rate between £16.00 - £20.00 umbrella depending on experience.

A DBS is needed for this role.

  • With your experience you be to act as a specialist agent of change through the delivery of a flexible, responsive, collaborative and effective support service where timely and high quality interventions mitigate the risks associated with welfare reforms and a range of vulnerabilities which can lead to high cost crisis intervention and homelessness.
  • Maximising individuals potential for long term independence and tenancy sustainment by building capacity, resilience and confidence so as to become self-aware of risks and be able to respond and manage those risks in order to prevent and break the cycle of homeless.
  • Be responsible for the dynamic management and tracking of a challenging caseload including shorter and longer term interventions where financial risks are regularly reviewed, prioritised and managed to maximise the potential for successful tenancies and independence.
  • Support vulnerable residents in making difficult decisions regarding money and debt management and engender self-awareness and responsibility for the financial aspects of maintaining their tenancy
  • Develop learning based options to improve the customer pathway for tenants migrating to Universal Credit
  • Positively engage in staff meetings, supervision and performance and development appraisals as part of the continuous process of responding and adapting to change for the benefit of vulnerable residents
