About the Role:

Barnsley Council is seeking an experienced SEND Tribunal Officer to join their team on an interim basis. This is a key role in supporting the Local Authority in managing Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) tribunal cases, with a focus on early resolution and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and respond to SEND tribunal cases from initial notification to resolution.Prepare comprehensive written responses, evidence bundles, and liaise with legal representatives, families, and professionals.Attend and represent the council at tribunal hearings where required.Work collaboratively with SEN case officers, schools, and multi-agency partners.Provide guidance and support to the wider SEN team around tribunal procedures and compliance.

What We're Looking For:

Experienced SEND Tribunal Officer with in-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and the tribunal process.Ability to analyse complex case information and produce high-quality legal responses.Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with families, legal reps, and schools.Ideally someone with local area knowledge and familiarity with Barnsley schools.Must be able to attend the office in Barnsley 2 days a week (Mondays and Thursdays).

Key Responsibilities:

Experience in complaint handling, multi-agency working, and stakeholder engagement.

Strong ICT skills for data tracking and performance monitoring.

Desirable:

Working knowledge of the Capita system.

Familiarity with related legislation (Children Act, safeguarding, Adult Social Care).

You will be familiar DST domains and experienced in obtaining evidence to support presenting argument based on Nature, Intensity, Complexity and Unpredictability of health need. You will also have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.



Herefordshire Adult Social Care uses the Mosaic client database so experience with this system would be an advantage, but training will be provided as required. You will support the CHC Lead with the overall management of the CHC pathway from referral to outcome and monitoring the financial implications of those outcomes.



We are currently working a hybrid system of part office/part home-based working. There is a requirement to be able to work face to face and be based in the office in Hereford for at least 2 days each week. You will be given autonomy in the booking and confirming of visits for the days in office and then writing-up on the work from home days.

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting on behalf of a London-based Local Authority for an experienced Supported Housing Lead / Senior Commissioning Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking, innovative commissioning team within Adult Social Care.

The role will focus on leading the development of a Supported Housing strategy, working closely with Social Landlords and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality supported accommodation is available for vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of a borough-wide Supported Housing strategy in line with the Care Act 2014Build and maintain strong working relationships with Social Landlords and care providersMap and assess existing supported housing provision across the boroughsLead the commissioning and decommissioning of supported housing servicesDevelop and manage capital projects and associated business casesDeliver evidence-based commissioning aligned with local needs and strategiesWork collaboratively with Adult Social Care and other stakeholders to improve housing outcomes


Must-Have Experience:

Extensive experience within Supported Housing at a strategic or commissioning levelIn-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and its application in supported accommodationProven experience working with Housing Associations, Social Landlords, and support providersStrong background in service commissioning, redesign, and contract managementExperience in capital development projects and investment planningExcellent stakeholder engagement and project leadership skills


Desirable:

Experience in services for vulnerable adults including mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needsUnderstanding of funding mechanisms and pathways for supported accommodationFamiliarity with developing Supported Housing Quality Standards
