We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Duty & Assessment Team in Bury.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy frontline service, undertaking assessments and safeguarding interventions to support children and families.
Key Responsibilities:Managing a caseload of children and families requiring assessment and intervention.Completing Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements.Undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.Maintaining accurate case records and completing reports within timescales.Participating in duty responsibilities and responding to new referrals.Requirements:Social Work England registration.Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.Previous experience within Children's Services, particularly in Duty & Assessment, Safeguarding, or Frontline teams.Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills.Enhanced DBS check.What's on Offer:£39 per hour Umbrella.Hybrid working arrangement.Supportive team environment.Opportunity to gain experience within a well-established local authority.If you are an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity, apply today for more information on or call me on 020 815 28935

Pay Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: BL9 0EJ, Bury, United Kingdom
As a Social Worker within the Duty and Assessment Team, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, managing safeguarding concerns, and supporting children and families at the front door of children's services. You will work within a fast-paced environment, completing timely assessments and working closely with partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children.
Key Skills Required:
* Experience within Duty & Assessment/Frontline children's services
* Ability to undertake assessments and safeguarding enquiries
* Strong understanding of child protection and statutory processes
* Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree, DipSW, or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Experience within children's services
* 5 years reference, gaps in employment history checked, and relevant qualifications as per JDPS
