Qualified Social Worker - Duty & Assessment Team
Location: Bury (Hybrid Working)
Rate: £39 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Locum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Duty & Assessment Team in Bury.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy frontline service, undertaking assessments and safeguarding interventions to support children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of children and families requiring assessment and intervention.
  • Completing Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements.
  • Undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and completing reports within timescales.
  • Participating in duty responsibilities and responding to new referrals.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience within Children's Services, particularly in Duty & Assessment, Safeguarding, or Frontline teams.
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
