Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £25/hour (Umbrella) or £19.23/hour (PAYE)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week
Role Overview
North Northamptonshire Council is seeking two experienced Billing and Recovery Officers to support the billing and recovery of Council Tax. The successful candidates will join a team responsible for the effective administration and recovery of Council Tax using established processes and systems.
Key Details
This is a hybrid role with flexibility. The council has offices in Thrapston, Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough.
Ideally, you will work 3 days in-office and 2 days from home.
Fully remote working can be offered for suitable candidates.
Immediate start required.
Responsibilities
Carry out all aspects of Council Tax billing and recovery.
Use relevant software systems efficiently to manage cases.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
Provide excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.
Requirements
Previous experience in a billing and recovery role, preferably in a local authority.
Strong understanding of Council Tax legislation and recovery processes.
Good IT and administrative skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
