Role: Computing Lecturer Location: Greater Manchester Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: £27,000 - £45,000 Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and talented Computing Lecturer for a Further Education College in Greater Manchester. You will have the opportunity to teach across a range of exciting programmes, including Computing, T-Levels, and Access to HE Computing courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and the flexibility to teach a range of computing topics. Experience in additional programming languages and a working knowledge of BTEC frameworks is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Computing, T-Levels, and Access to HE Computing. - Support students in developing industry-standard skills, focusing on practical applications. - Utilise new and emerging technologies to inspire and excite learners. - Contribute to curriculum development and course planning. - Maintain a student-first approach, creating a fun, creative and supportive learning environment. Essential Requirements: - A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed). - A good honours degree in a relevant subject area, or significant experience within the IT industry. - Strong expertise in Python programming. - Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts. - Understanding of Matrix Algebra and its applications. - Ability to deliver creative and engaging sessions that meet a variety of learning styles. Desirable Skills: - Expertise in additional programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript). - Knowledge and experience with BTEC qualification structures and standards. This is an agency position offering a competitive rate of £35 per hour. You will work as part of a supportive duty rota team dealing with Mental Health Act (MHA) assessment referrals. Key Responsibilities: Undertake MHA assessments in accordance with legal duties and professional standards Work alongside duty colleagues to provide an efficient and responsive AMHP service Support individuals in crisis and make decisions that support their rights, safety, and well-being Maintain accurate and timely records in line with service requirements Requirements: Qualified AMHP with current registration and legal warranting to practice Experience in conducting MHA assessments Strong understanding of mental health legislation and safeguarding Excellent communication and collaborative working skills Why Apply?
