Location: L24 0TY, Liverpool

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the Permanence Team at Liverpool City Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Permanence Team, supporting children and young people to achieve safe, stable and permanent outcomes. You will manage complex cases, provide professional guidance to colleagues, and work closely with children, families and partner agencies to ensure timely permanence planning.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, mentoring less experienced social workers, and ensuring that assessments, care planning and interventions are delivered to a high standard in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.

Key Skills Required:

Previous experience within Permanence, Children in Care, Looked After Children, Adoption or Children's ServicesStrong knowledge of permanence planning, safeguarding and statutory children's social care legislationExperience managing complex cases, undertaking statutory assessments and care planningAbility to mentor, support and provide guidance to less experienced social workersExcellent assessment, report writing and multi-agency partnership working skillsAbility to make informed, child-centred decisions and achieve positive outcomes for children and young peopleSocial Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandPrevious experience within Children's Services, ideally within a Permanence or Children in Care TeamStrong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, care planning and permanence processes

Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? The Liverpool City Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our Permanence Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, stability, and well-being of vulnerable children, working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes.

As an Advanced Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

Leading complex casework and providing expert guidance to social work staff. Conducting assessments, developing care plans, and reviewing cases to ensure the best outcomes for children. Facilitating training and development for social work practitioners, sharing best practices and enhancing team skills. Building and maintaining strong relationships with families, children, and external stakeholders. Participating in court proceedings and representing the Local Authority in legal matters.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families.
