Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CP/CIN Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access necessary services and resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within child protection or child in need settings. Strong assessment, analytical, and report writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
