Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CP/CIN Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.

  • Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans.
  • Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access necessary services and resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within child protection or child in need settings.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
