Sefton Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Justice Case Manager to join our Early Help Support & Protection Team. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified social workers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people and their families. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of young offenders, providing support and intervention to reduce reoffending and promote positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs and risks of young people within the youth justice system. Developing and implementing individual support plans tailored to each young person's needs. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including education, health, and social services, to ensure comprehensive support. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Engaging with families and communities to promote rehabilitation and reintegration.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in youth justice or related fields, with a strong understanding of safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families. Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Youth Justice Case Manager to join the Early Help, Support & Protection Team at Sefton Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Youth Justice Service, working with children and young people who are at risk of offending or have entered the criminal justice system. You will manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments, develop intervention plans and work closely with families and partner agencies to reduce offending and promote positive outcomes.
You will play a key role in safeguarding young people, managing risk, supporting rehabilitation and ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration to help children achieve their full potential.
Key Skills Required:
Previous experience within Youth Justice, Youth Offending, Early Help or Children's Services
Strong knowledge of youth justice legislation, safeguarding and risk assessment
Experience managing complex caseloads and delivering targeted intervention plans
Ability to build positive relationships with children, young people and their families
Excellent communication, assessment, report writing and multi-agency working skills
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes
Relevant professional qualification and/or Social Work England registration (where applicable)
Essential Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth Justice, Probation, Criminology or equivalent
Previous experience working with children, young people or families
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and youth justice practice
Excellent assessment, planning and case management skills
