Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) on behalf of Cheshire East Council. This role is vital in managing and overseeing allegations made against adults working or volunteering with children, ensuring that safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with statutory guidance (Working Together to Safeguard Children).Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the full allegations process in line with multi-agency and statutory frameworks.Provide expert advice, guidance and consultation to employers, voluntary organisations, and partner agencies on safeguarding procedures.Chair complex inter-agency strategy meetings and oversee the investigation process from start to completion.Develop and implement performance monitoring tools, outcome frameworks, and ensure reporting to SMT, LSCB, and DfE.Lead policy development on safe recruitment practices and safe working environments across agencies.Audit and review inter-agency safeguarding compliance and performance.Promote and support training initiatives in line with identified safeguarding and policy needs.Represent Cheshire East at regional LADO meetings and act as the strategic safeguarding lead when required.Essential Criteria:Qualified Social Worker - DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent and registered with Social Work EnglandSignificant experience in child protection and safeguarding, including complex case managementExperience of chairing multi-agency safeguarding meetingsKnowledge of national safeguarding legislation and experience applying Working Together to Safeguard ChildrenExperience working at both operational and strategic levels across multi-agency environmentsProven experience in offering safeguarding guidance and resolving inter-agency disputesStrong understanding of safer recruitment and managing allegations policiesDesirable:Management qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)Previous LADO experience or experience at senior safeguarding levelExperience in performance reporting and strategic developmentIf you are a dedicated safeguarding professional with the confidence to lead and influence across agencies, we would love to hear from you.📞 Contact: Mayur Rabari - 0114 700 3804 📧 Email: m.rabari @edenbrownsynergy.comEden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer. This is a great opportunity for an experienced OT looking for a locum role with variety, autonomy, and the chance to make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities: Carry out assessments and interventions in line with OT best practice. Support with moving and handling, minor adaptations, and the provision of equipment to support independence. Assess for and contribute to Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs). Potential involvement in frontline work supporting urgent and complex cases. Work in partnership with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver person-centred care. About You: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with experience in adult social care. Confident in manual handling, equipment prescription, and home adaptation assessments.
