Cheshire East - QSW - Learning disabilities Team £36 p/h
Cheshire East Council is looking to appoint two experienced Qualified Social Workers to join our Learning Disabilities Team within Adult Social Care. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
About the Role:
As part of a supportive and proactive team, you will:
Carry a caseload of adults with learning disabilities, providing assessment, review, and care planning in line with the Care Act 2014.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, and providers to deliver person-centred outcomes.
Participate in safeguarding processes and contribute to risk assessments and best interest decisions.
Attend multidisciplinary meetings and support complex cases with creativity and empathy.
Requirements:
Social Work England registration is essential.
Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures.
Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Willing to work flexibly, including from home and the Crewe office.
