Cheshire East - OT - Social care £35 per hour
Cheshire East Council is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team on a short-term basis while we recruit for a permanent position.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced OT looking for a locum role with variety, autonomy, and the chance to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out assessments and interventions in line with OT best practice.
Support with moving and handling, minor adaptations, and the provision of equipment to support independence.
Assess for and contribute to Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs).
Potential involvement in frontline work supporting urgent and complex cases.
Work in partnership with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver person-centred care.
About You:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with experience in adult social care.
Confident in manual handling, equipment prescription, and home adaptation assessments.
Knowledgeable in current legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team.
Additional Information:
This is a short-term locum role while permanent recruitment is underway.
A current Enhanced DBS check (including barred lists) is required for this role.
