Our social workers are innovative, positive and dedicated to make a real difference. Team Managers ensure regular reflective supervision and our training package is second to none.

The successful candidate should be able to hold child protection cases, have good written and verbal communication skills to work with a range of professionals and vulnerable families and Chair multi-agency core group meetings.

To complete and present reports within the Child Protection arena using Signs of Safety approach.

To be able to write court reports and present evidence to the court.
Have experience of Child Protection and Court work and Child in Care work.

Knowledge / use of Signs of Safety and MOSAIC system would be an advantage.

10. To ensure that record keeping, and report writing is timely and accurate, kept up-to-date and fully compliant with the Council's recording systems and quality standards and evidences the voice of the child/young person and their journey.
11. To participate in such activities as directed by the team manager that contribute to ongoing review and improvement of practice and service standards within a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
12. To take responsibility for ensuring individual practice is subject to continuous improvement and meets with local and national professional standards, including attending training and professional development events and activities relevant to the role and necessary for registration with SWE and participating positively in professional supervision and annual appraisal (A&D) review.
13. Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
