Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team- Bury
Are you a compassionate and skilled Social Worker passionate about making a real difference for children with disabilities and their families? Join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) team in Bury and help provide vital support to some of the most vulnerable young people in the community.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker in the CWD team, you will deliver high-quality assessments, care planning, and interventions tailored to the unique needs of children with disabilities. You'll work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to promote positive outcomes and enhance the wellbeing and safety of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct statutory assessments and reviews for children with disabilities
- Develop and implement child-centred care and support plans
- Work closely with families, health, education, and other professionals
- Advocate for the needs and rights of children with disabilities
- Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes
What We're Looking For:
- Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
- Experience working with children with disabilities or complex needs
- Strong communication and multi-agency working skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to person-centred and strengths-based practice
Working Arrangements:
- Hybrid working with 2 days remote working from home and 3 days office-based in Bury
- Supportive and inclusive team environment
