Job Title: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist - Mainstream Schools (Band 6)
Location: South London
Pay Rate: Up to £34 per hour
Contract: Part time or Full time
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to provide therapy support within mainstream schools across South London. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with children in educational settings, helping to improve their communication skills and support their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver assessment, intervention, and support to children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in mainstream school settings
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop tailored therapy plans
Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed
Provide training and advice to school staff on supporting children with SLCN
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service reports
Person Specification:
HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
Experience working with paediatric clients, ideally within schools or educational environments
Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication development in children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to child-centred care and inclusion in mainstream education
