We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our North Neighbourhood Team, a vital part of our integrated community service. About the Role: As a Social Worker within our North Neighbourhood Team, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality adult social care. You will carry out strengths-based assessments and provide person-centred interventions that focus on promoting independence, wellbeing, and resilience. Key responsibilities include: Conducting social work assessments and interventions in line with the Care Act 2014 Engaging in preventative and informative conversations to identify individual needs and outcomes Securing appropriate levels of funding in line with Reshaping Trafford Policy Responding effectively to safeguarding concerns and enquiries, following local and national guidance Working collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies What we're looking for: A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification Registered with Social Work England Minimum of 3 years' experience in a statutory adult social care setting Strong understanding of current legislation, including the Care Act A proactive, reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement Excellent communication and case management skills What we offer: Competitive rate of £30 per hour Supportive management and supervision Flexible working where possible The chance to be part of a team that embraces innovation and continuous improvement If you are ready to bring your experience and passion for adult social care to a team that is committed to making a difference - we want to hear from you! This vital role ensures the delivery of a responsive, out-of-hours social work service across the borough, including weekends and bank holidays. Key Responsibilities: Provide emergency social work interventions for both Children's and Adults' services outside of normal working hours. Undertake Mental Health Act assessments as required.
