Trafford Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Adults Central Neighbourhood Team, based at Sale Waterside. This is a full-time, temporary role for a period of 3 months, with a competitive hourly rate of £30ph Hybrid role
Key Responsibilities:
As a Social Worker in the Central Neighbourhood Team, you will:
Work with adults with a wide range of needs, including those with long-term conditions, mental health concerns, substance misuse issues, dementia, hoarding behaviours, and those transitioning to adulthood.
Conduct person-centred and strength-based assessments.
Develop and implement support plans that promote independence and well-being.
Respond to safeguarding concerns in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and local safeguarding procedures.
Liaise effectively with service users, families, and multi-agency professionals.
Requirements:
Social Work qualification (BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma SW, or equivalent).
Current Social Work England registration.
Minimum of 2 years experience in adult social care.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act.
Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
