The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.

The hospital is a principle provider to the NHS in the North of England, focusing on positive holistic outcome through full service provision.


We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Psychologist to work as part of our established multi-disciplinary therapy team that provides psychological treatment and support to inpatients and outpatients. You will also be skilled and motivated in the facilitation of group therapy interventions.

You will join a thriving therapy service that is committed to evidence based practice, supervision and providing professional development opportunities. You will be an integral member of an established multi-disciplinary team to contribute to clinical meetings / care planning for patients.

You must be registered with the HCPC

The post holders responsibilities will include:

Working within the standards set out by CQC, QNIC and other regulators
Providing excellent standards of evidence based practice
Regularly reviewing and monitoring outcomes of assessments and the effects of treatment in line with goal based outcomes
Active participation in service developments including: the use of resident feedback / in-house training
Contributing to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols
To provide specialist supervision, training and consultation to colleagues through formulation groups / reflective practice
