Children's Social Worker - UASC / Age Assessments - Trafford

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting on behalf of Trafford Council for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) team. This role involves completing thorough Age Assessments and supporting vulnerable young people throughout the assessment and legal process.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive and timely age assessments for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
* Prepare high-quality written reports in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice
* Present findings confidently in court settings when required
* Work collaboratively with legal teams, interpreters, and other professionals
* Maintain up-to-date case records and ensure assessments comply with current legislation and guidance

Requirements:
* Social Work England registration
* Proven experience in conducting age assessments for UASC
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
* Ability to manage sensitive cases and work under pressure
* Experience presenting in court is essential
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
