We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Adult Safeguarding Team in Blackburn with Darwen.
This is a frontline safeguarding role within a dynamic team responsible for receiving and triaging all adult safeguarding concerns. The team acts swiftly to assess risks and implement immediate safeguarding plans to protect vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and assess safeguarding concerns.
Conduct risk assessments and implement urgent safeguarding measures.
Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure comprehensive safeguarding responses.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
Participate in safeguarding strategy meetings and reviews.
Requirements:
Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
Significant experience in Adult Safeguarding is essential.
Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation.
Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, frontline environment.
Working Arrangements:
Minimum of 3 days per week office-based (60%) following induction.
Remaining time can be worked remotely in line with the hybrid model.
