We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty, Assessment & Child in Need (CIN) Team in Blackburn. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Responding to safeguarding concerns and conducting initial assessments
  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with service users and other professionals
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences
  • Providing support and guidance to families to enable positive outcomes

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and working with CIN cases
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
