We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen, focusing on Adult Safeguarding. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks of adults at risk
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals
- Providing support and advocacy for adults at risk to safeguard their rights and promote independence
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to coordinate interventions and support
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience working in Adult Safeguarding within a social care setting
- Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users, families, and partner agencies
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
