You will join the psychology team which consists of one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Psychologist.There will be considerable opportunities for developing your clinical leadership skills, sharing your clinical expertise and developing your capacity to enjoy multi-disciplinary team working. We would value your input to our quality improvement programme, and the development of psychological skills within the wider team. We are committed to staff development and reflective practice, with considerable resources in the Team and wider trust to support this. You will have some experience of working with adolescents presenting with complex mental health presentations. We are seeking a candidate who is interested in neuropsychological assessment, multidisciplinary team working and targeted psychological interventions, especially third-wave CBT. The post holder will: Be responsible and accountable for the direct provision of an autonomous and systematic highly specialist clinical service, including specialised assessments and the development and delivery of specialised programmes of care. Provide highly specialist advice concerning the assessment and treatment of adolescents being assessed and treated for severe and complex mental health difficulties as well as their families. Provide a highly specialist psychological perspective to the work of relevant professional groups and teams within Evergreen. Clinically supervise the work of assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists and other psychologists where appropriate. Clinically co-ordinate the work of assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists and other psychologists where appropriate. Develop and support the psychological work of other staff groups through teaching, training, clinical supervision and consultation. Attend clinical, teaching, professional and operational meetings. Formulate and undertake clinical audit and research activities as a job requirement. Participate in CPD and other developmental activities, keeping up to date with relevant psychological research and national guidance (DoH, NICE etc). Follow broadly defined policies and pursue agreed objectives but exercise considerable freedom in deciding on how best to implement or achieve them. Liaise closely with the Associate Clinical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist to continually review the psychological service provided.
