About the Role

Bradford Children and Families Trust is currently seeking experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Children and Families Team based in Bradford West. The role focuses on working with children, young people, and families to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes.

You will support children aged 0-18 across a variety of needs, using your skills to ensure child-centred practice and effective intervention. Working collaboratively with colleagues and multi-agency partners, you'll play a key part in safeguarding, assessment, and case planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out statutory social work functions under the Children Act 1989 and related legislation

  • Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and manage complex caseloads

  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategy discussions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

  • Provide support and supervision to less experienced team members when required

  • Promote permanence, stability, and improved outcomes for children in need or at risk

  • Work flexibly across teams to meet service requirements and uphold service standards


Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in frontline statutory social work

  • Proven ability to work within Children and Families services (e.g. CIN, CP, LAC)

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and child development

  • Competence in hybrid working environments

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet performance targets

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
