To be responsible for:
* Monitoring and reviewing the performance of external stock condition surveying teams to ensure programme delivery is in-line with the survey programme and any performance shortfalls are addressed.
* Undertaking quality assurance audits on completed surveys to assess the accuracy of the compiled survey data and to identify any gaps in captured data / information, and, or any non-compliances with the survey specification.
* Where appropriate, identify the appropriate remedial actions that need to completed by the surveyor(s).
* Carry out joint visits on a 1-2-1 basis with surveyors, to provide some on-site coaching to address knowledge gaps and to promote open communication, with the aim of ensuring survey consistency.
* Review completed surveys to validate hazard assessments completed in accordance of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and assess any safeguarding referrals to ensure the appropriate actions are taken to resolve them.
In general
We expect candidates to have a good knowledge of building surveying / building pathology, as well as a good understanding of the relevant legislation (including recent changes such as Awaab's Law), in a social housing context, e.g. the Decent Homes Standard, the Safety and Quality Standard, as well as a thorough understanding of the role stock condition surveys should play in mitigating housing disrepair issues.
