Qualified Social Worker - Integrated Learning Disability Team (Duty) - Hackney
Rate: £32.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)
Contract: 3 months initially
Location: London Borough of Hackney

The Integrated Learning Disability Team in Hackney is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the service on a duty basis. This is a locum role offering the opportunity to work in a well-established multi-disciplinary team providing responsive and effective support to adults with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Record actions and decisions clearly using Mosaic

Collaborate with health and social care professionals in a multi-agency setting

Provide direct advice, assistance, and preventative support to adults with learning disabilities

Respond to urgent duty matters, including emergency visits, reviews, and assessments

Act as first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and follow up to ensure safety and wellbeing

Adhere to robust risk management and safeguarding procedures

Apply the principles of the Mental Capacity Act where appropriate

Maintain high standards of social care practice in line with Social Work England

Requirements:

Social Work England registration

Experience working with adults with learning disabilities

Sound understanding of the Care Act and MCA

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced duty environment

Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
