Sefton Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Learning Disability & Autism Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a team making a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with a confident understanding of the complexities within this specialist area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex cases with a high degree of autonomy.
Complete thorough assessments and manage associated risks effectively.
Provide expert-level interventions informed by a strong understanding of relevant theories and models.
Act as a reliable source of knowledge and guidance for colleagues.
Support and oversee social work students on placement, including their teaching and assessment.
Prepare and present evidence in court, particularly for care proceedings.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration.
Significant experience working in Learning Disability & Autism services.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, statutory duties, and best practice guidance.
Confident in managing complex cases and risk assessment.
Experience with court work and preparing legal documentation.
