Six Steps to Becoming a Foster Carer
- Initial Inquiry: Get in touch with us by filling out our contact form. Our friendly team will provide an overview of fostering and answer any questions you have.
- Home Visit & Initial Assessment: A fostering advisor will visit you at home to discuss your suitability, assess your living environment, and explain the support available.
- Application & Training: Submit your application and begin our comprehensive training program, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to provide the best care for a child.
- Assessment & Panel Review: A social worker will complete a full assessment, including background checks and references. Your application will then be presented to an independent fostering panel for approval.
- Approval & Matching: Once approved, we work closely with you to match you with a child or young person whose needs align with your skills, experience, and family dynamic.
- Welcoming a Child into Your Home: When a match is made, you’ll receive full support as you welcome a child into your home and begin your fostering journey with ongoing training and guidance.
Generous Financial Allowances
