Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
- Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans.
- Working closely with external agencies, including schools, health services, and community organizations, to support children and families.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within a similar setting, particularly in permanence or child protection.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
