Children's SW - Fostering Team - Gloucestershire

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Gloucestershire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved in the fostering process.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families to develop appropriate care plans.
  • Conducting home visits and regular reviews to ensure the well-being of children in foster care.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services for children in care.
  • Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and multidisciplinary meetings as required.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Experience working within a children's social care setting, preferably in fostering.
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
