Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Portsmouth
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Portsmouth. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and investigations into child protection concerns
- Developing and implementing care plans to support children and families
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to provide holistic support
- Attending case conferences and court hearings as required
- Providing advocacy and support to children and families throughout the safeguarding process
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
- Experience working within a children's safeguarding team
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
