? Qualified Social Worker - Older People & Physical Disabilities
? Location: Sandwell Council House (2 days office-based)
? Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
? Pay Rate: £32 per hour
? Contract until: 31st March 2026

Sandwell Council is seeking a committed and hardworking Qualified Social Worker to join our team supporting older adults, individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, and mental health needs.

? Key Responsibilities:
Complete 3 case tasks per week

Support the waiting list and review list

Be flexible and adaptable to team needs - this may include triage, duty calls, or urgent tasks

Attend team meetings every other Friday around 10am

Be present in the office 2 days per week (visits can be scheduled during these days)

Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and professionalism

? Essential Requirements:
Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent

Registered with Social Work England

Strong knowledge of:

Care Act 2014

Mental Capacity Act 2005

Mental Health Act

Safeguarding Adults

Continuing Health Care

DoLS / Liberty Protection Safeguards
