Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Band 8B Sonographer to join the Ultrasound team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. This locum post covers Abdominal, Gynaecological, and DVT scans, supporting diagnostic services within the Cancer and Clinical Support Services Programme.

You will be working as a Radiographer Consultant within a high-functioning diagnostic department, delivering expert imaging, supporting service delivery, and advising multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in Abdo, Gynae, and DVT imaging

Provide expert interpretation of results and report writing

Work collaboratively with Radiologists, Consultants, and wider MDTs

Assist in mentoring junior staff and promoting service excellence

Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R and infection control guidelines

Essential Requirements:
HCPC registered

Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound

Substantial experience in Abdominal, Gynaecological & DVT scanning

Ability to work independently and contribute to MDT discussions

Proven expertise at Consultant Radiographer level or Band 8a+ equivalent
