Adoption Social Worker - Durham

Durham County Council are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support their Adoption Team during the recruitment of a permanent post holder.

The team forms part of the Regional Adoption Agency and is well-established, stable, and supported by an experienced management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters
  • Completing adoption reports and panel documentation
  • Supporting adopters through the assessment and approval process
  • Working collaboratively within the regional adoption framework
  • Ensuring best outcomes for children requiring permanent placements

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
