Durham County Council are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support their Adoption Team during the recruitment of a permanent post holder.
The team forms part of the Regional Adoption Agency and is well-established, stable, and supported by an experienced management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters
- Completing adoption reports and panel documentation
- Supporting adopters through the assessment and approval process
- Working collaboratively within the regional adoption framework
- Ensuring best outcomes for children requiring permanent placements

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
