We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our dynamic team in Leicestershire, specializing in Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) and Adoption (Post Order) cases. This role offers a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). As a QSW, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families through the adoption process, ensuring that the best interests of children are prioritized and that families receive the support they need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments for SGO and adoption applications.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to adoptive families and guardians.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in adoption and SGO processes.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
