This team is the first point of contact for children's services, managing referrals and ensuring that children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time. A Senior Social Worker in a Front Door team is responsible for managing and screening incoming referrals relating to children and families, ensuring safeguarding concerns are assessed promptly and appropriately. The role involves making threshold decisions, undertaking risk assessments, and determining the most suitable level of intervention, such as early help, assessment, or statutory services

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide senior-level support within the Families Front Door (MASH/Front Door) service.
* Screen and review incoming referrals and safeguarding concerns.
* Undertake risk assessments and make informed decisions regarding thresholds and interventions.
* Provide guidance and support to social workers and practitioners within the team.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures and statutory responsibilities are followed.
