We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adoption Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Leicester City. As an Adoption Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of prospective adoptive families to ensure they meet the necessary criteria.
  • Providing support and guidance to families throughout the adoption process, including pre- and post-adoption support.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers, to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for adoption panels and court hearings.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adoption services or child welfare.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
