Staffordshire - PART TIME - TM - Children In Care Team
Staffordshire Council is currently seeking an experienced PART TIME Team Manager to join their Children In Care Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a well-established local authority.
Location: Castle House
Pay Rate: £41.42 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and support a team of social workers delivering high-quality services to children in care.
- Provide effective supervision, case oversight, and decision-making to ensure safe and timely interventions.
- Ensure children in care receive robust care planning, permanency planning, and statutory visits in line with legislation and timescales.
- Drive positive outcomes for children by promoting stability, education, health, and emotional wellbeing.
- Monitor and improve practice quality through regular audits, performance management, and quality assurance activities.
- Chair team meetings, strategy discussions, and professional forums to support effective case management.
- Work collaboratively with carers, families, education, health, legal services, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, ensuring risks are appropriately assessed and addressed.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, reflective supervision, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory guidance, local authority policies, and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous service improvement.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
