Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Family Court Adviser (FCA) to join the Work to First Hearing Team at CAFCASS at Birmingham.

Pay Rate: £33.50 per hour (Limited/Umbrella)
Location: B2 5HG, Birmingham
Hybrid Working: Flexible - only 1-2 days per month in the office

This is an excellent opportunity to join CAFCASS, working within the Work to First Hearing Team to ensure that the voice of the child remains at the centre of Family Court proceedings. You will undertake high-quality safeguarding assessments, provide expert analysis to the court, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.

The role offers an excellent level of flexibility, with minimal office attendance, making it ideal for experienced practitioners seeking a strong work-life balance while remaining involved in meaningful court-based practice.

Key Skills Required:

* Experience working within Family Court, Public Law, Private Law or Children's Safeguarding Services
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and child protection legislation
* Experience preparing high-quality court reports and making evidence-based recommendations
* Ability to analyse complex information and make sound professional judgments
* Excellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
* Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience within Children's Services and Family Court work
* Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Public Law Outline (PLO) and Family Court processes
