Fostering Practice Manager - Northamptonshire ( 1 Day in the office/w)
Role Overview
- Job Title: Practice Manager - Fostering
- Location: Northampton (Angel Square, NN1 1ED)
- Pay Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella)
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to a team of social workers and practitioners
- Oversee fostering assessments, support plans, and reviews to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Drive high standards of practice, ensuring positive outcomes for children in foster care
- Support foster carers through effective supervision, training, and development
- Manage complex cases and provide professional advice on safeguarding and placement stability
- Ensure all work meets Ofsted standards and aligns with fostering legislation and best practice guidance
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Children's Services, specifically Fostering
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, policies, and safeguarding practices
- Ability to manage complex cases and support team performance effectively
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
